MasterPeace is an award-winning global grassroots non-profit and non-governmental peace movement, currently existing in more than 40 countries around the world. Yearly the UN International Day of Peace (September 21st) will be used by all clubs and teams of MasterPeace – within the participating countries – to raise more awareness for its works and bring new Nelsons, media and artists on board. Partnership with MasterPeace PfP organizes the International Day of Peace (IDP) each year on the 21 September, mainly focusing on the following goals:
(i) Creating hope and peace through music.
(ii) Awareness about the International Day of peace .
(iii) Supporting the provision of quality education for all.
(iv) Raising awareness about violence against women, rape, child marriage, child labor and drug addiction.
The overarching purpose of the IDP is to target the general mass of people, especially rural children, youth, and women, and bring attention to the concept and importance of peace in the society in general and for their own well being in particular.
This purpose has emerged especially after our realization that not many people in local communities are fully aware and concerned about the value of goodwill, harmony and ultimate peace and their immensely important impact on their own and others’ well being. The additional aim and benefit of celebrating this day is to further develop and strengthen our cordial communication and collaboration with international communities and thus get to know better about one another and their respective cultures and environments.
