The rural communities in Nepal have been struggling for a long time due to challenges like resource scarcity, financial limitations, marginalisation, and other development barriers. While short-term aid offers temporary relief, there is a need for sustainable empowerment to promote true progress and self-sufficiency in such communities.

Our holistic approach prioritizes play-based learning, community engagement, quality enhancement, access and equity, lifelong learning, and a global perspective. Our vision at Peace for People is to build self-reliant and sustainable communities comprising socially, mentally, and economically empowered individuals. We aim to achieve this by providing essential tools, resources, and training that enable communities to take ownership of their growth and development.
While we do offer immediate assistance during crises, our initiatives extend beyond mere relief efforts. We prioritize creating opportunities for organic growth and self-driven development within the communities we serve.
We provide various Personal and Professional Development & Career Guidance sessions for students, youth and women. All our programs are listed below.
We are concerned that women aged 25-40 years have been deprived of education at their ages due to barriers that existed back then. To equip them with skills for self-sufficiency and awareness, we ran a comprehensive month-long program in Kathmandu tailored to their needs and aspirations.
We conduct workshops focused on enhancing overall personalities and empowering individuals to effectively pursue their goals. In 2013, our successful workshop in Kathmandu engaged over 100+ SLC appeared students and featured experts from diverse fields for a dynamic learning experience.
We emphasize leadership and skill development for every individual to develop the spirit of teamwork, critical thinking, and individual competence to thrive in today’s time. In 2016, we organized our first 2-day National Bootcamp in Kathmandu where we witnessed the active engagement of 25 motivated individuals. Following that, we have organized several sessions in the schools of Dhading and Kavre to empower students with life skills.
We organize career counseling programs to help Nepalese youth discover their potential and overcome challenges. Our impactful sessions in 2013 reached 300 students across the Chitwan and Dolakha districts, offering informative guidance and engaging activities.
We offer comprehensive skills-based training tailored to different age groups, equipping them with essential personal and professional success tools.
In partnership with the community, we supported women in Fogadpur, Dhading, by providing goat-rearing training. That initiative aimed to empower them economically, promoting sustainability and self-reliance.
We believe in the transformative power of storytelling. We provide platforms for individuals to share their stories and ideas, mobilizing national and international volunteers to foster positive change and empower communities.
Peace for People visions to develop an environment in which communities in Nepal are ensured their right to quality education, and equal opportunities in socio-economic sectors leading to active citizenship and productive and prosperous society.
