In collaboration with MasterPeace Nepal and MasterPeace Global, Peace for People hosts the participants of MasterPeace Walk Nepal as a local coordinator in the rural communities of Dhading district.

It is a community-based project where a group of foreigners from different parts of the world engage with their local Nepali host for a 10-day long stay. It includes a roughly 80 km walk where one gets to enjoy the fresh environment of our hills, learn about the different rituals, cultures, and traditions of the locals, and share their stories.

MasterPeace Foundation highly values the MasterPeace Walk Nepal as it builds bridges between cultures, adds value to the local community, and helps to build a strong MasterPeace network in the local region, not to mention the personal impact for every participant and all local Nepali people involved.

We started being a part of MasterPeace Walk Nepal since 2017.

MasterPeace Walk Nepal 2017

The MasterPeace Walk Nepal was started in 2017 with forty participants from the Netherlands and Nepal for a 6-day trek through Thakre Rural Municipality of Dhading.

It was organized by the Peace for People team with our Dutch counterparts, Florian Geerken, Caroline Kouwenberg, and Marcella Bos. The participants disconnected from their regular lives and got engaged in storytelling, dialogue, and learning, which served as a medium for reflection and connection.
