We can see the acute discrimination and biases against gender and sexual minorities in our societies. In most cases, inequality and prejudice towards them stem from traditional values and a lack of awareness about other sexual orientations.
At Peace for People, we champion equality through education, awareness, and community engagement. Our approach emphasizes inclusivity and collaboration, focusing on:
Promoting the rights and dignity of gender and sexual minorities.
Increasing understanding of challenges faced by marginalized groups.
Providing resources and training to support advocates.
Collaborating with partners to advocate for policy changes promoting equality.”
We believe that, regardless of their orientation, everybody should get a respectable life and equal access to opportunities for growth in all their persuasion. With this belief and motivation extracted from it, we, the team of Peace for People, relentlessly work towards bringing equality to society through awareness campaigns, workshops, and training.
We believe that social equality is only possible if an individual’s behaviour from an early stage of life is moulded into a good shape. To address this, we organize various trainings, workshops, and boot camps to advocate for gender equality in local schools and communities.
The women of our society have been kept in subordinate roles due to the familial, societal, economic, and political dominance of other genders. Through our ‘Me for Gender Equality’ awareness program, we target school-level students as well as locals of Nepal to make them understand their gender equality.
In the coming days, we plan to organize more initiatives to address the broader gender and sexual spectrum, work to advocate for their rights, and help them live their lives in a dignified way.
Peace for People visions to develop an environment in which communities in Nepal are ensured their right to quality education, and equal opportunities in socio-economic sectors leading to active citizenship and productive and prosperous society.
